Assistant Accountant

Salary £28,000 – £32,000

Primary responsibility will be assisting the Head of Finance including:

  • Accounts Receivable – issuing invoices and weekly credit control.
  • Banking – processing bank receipts, setting up client payment runs and bank reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing monthly forecasts and quarterly management accounts.
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, prepayments and accruals.
  • Adhoc tasks to assist the Head of Finance.

Desired experience:

  • Experience in a similar role is necessary.
  • Ideally suited to someone who is part qualified and actively studying towards and accounting qualification.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office (Excel essential) and experience with Sage 200C (or similar) would be beneficial.
  • There is scope for progression in the Finance Team and study support for the right candidate.

The Role:
The role would suit someone who has direct experience within online sportsbetting or casino, either from the operator or supplier side, has an affinity with data and an obsession with customer experience. Whilst centered around improving the customer experience for Fitzdares customers globally, the role comprises additional responsibilities for global casino acquisiton and retention, as well as providing operational support to the Canada Country Manager.

What you’ll do as the Head of Customer Experience

  • Create company-wide goals to improve global customer journeys across all touchpoints, such as website, app, email, live chat, telephone.
  • Leverage analytics to find out more about customer behaviour and preferences.
  • Refine and launch new products to increase customer satisfaction and build brand loyalty, working with the Head of Product.
  • Drive business improvement, supporting the Head of Retention.
  • Identify problem areas within the company and find solutions for them, including with our main suppliers such as FSB Tech.
  • Gather feedback, such as surveys, from customers to learn more about their experience with the company.
  • Manage and optimise customer segments effectively based on shared characteristics, with oversight from the Director of Performance, including segment promotion and demotion processes.
  • Assume responsibility for the global casino acquisition and retention strategy, working closely with the Casino Manager.
  • Provide operational and promotional support to the Canada Country Manager for the new Ontario operation (eg. setting sports promotions, content management and training of customer service agents).
  • Provide weekly and ad hoc reporting to the Executive Team and Board on commercial performance.
  • Motivate team members to meet company goals and push for success.
  • Provide regular support to both the Marketing and Casino Teams to ensure promotions are varied, compelling and well-targeted.

Desired Skills:

  • At least 3 years’ experience working within gaming
  • Highly organised and able to work on multiple projects/workstreams simultaneously
  • A proven passion for Customer Experience
  • Confident in actively dealing with multiple departments internally, as well as third parties
  • Ability to report on all aspects of business performance
  • Industry understanding of best-practices and compliance

Compliance Assistant

Responsibilities & duties:

  • Provide ad hoc support to the Anti-Money Laundering & Safer Gambling Teams as required.
  • Complete Know Your Customer checks and document verification on new members.
  • Request customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence documentation from members who meet internal thresholds and controls as well as on a case-by-case basis.
  • Review accounts for required documentation prior to suspensions, carrying out account suspensions for those who have not provided the required documentation within the set timeframe.
  • Completing Customer Due Diligence checks and verification.
  • Completing a review of non-invasive affordability information from a 3rd party provider and making recommendations to senior members of the Compliance Team for next steps.
  • Completing Safer Gambling reviews of member’s accounts, providing recommendations to senior members of the Safer Gambling Team on interactions.
  • Responding to general enquiries from members via phone, e-mail & text messages.
  • Provide administrative support to the Head of UK Compliance & Group Compliance Director.

Required skills and experience:

  • A keen interest in developing a career within Compliance.
  • Previous administrative work, preferably within a regulated environment.
